Luxfer Magtech is the leading manufacturer of shelf-stable, self-heating meals used by the U.S. Military, first responders and outdoor enthusiasts. In 1994 as the established global leader and pioneer of self-heating technology for use in the U.S. Military’s Meals Ready-to-Eat (MRE) program, Luxfer Magtech expanded its self-heating technology for use in a new product line, HeaterMeals™.
Luxfer Magtech are the leading experts in the development and application of Flameless Heating technology. Our Flameless Heating expertise has been utilized to create a variety of products including Flameless Ration Heaters, Café2Go™, Flameless Kettles, Ration Packs, HeaterMeals™ and many more.
Luxfer Magtech has been designing Chemical Detection and Decontamination products for the U.S. Military since 1979. These products detect and identify chemical agents and were once sold exclusively to the military. In 2010 this family of products became available for use by local First Responders including Law Enforcement, Firefighters, EMS, HAZMAT, Hospitals, Medical Strike Response System teams and Disaster & Emergency Services teams.
LUXFER Magtech offers a range of inert-gas atomized Elektron® MAP+ powders for use across a broad spectrum of additive manufacturing technologies, including selective laser sintering, direct metal laser sintering, electron beam melting, direct metal deposition, laser engineered net shapes, and cold spray deposition. We also produce inert-gas atomized Elektron® MAP powders that can be consolidated via a variety of traditional powder metallurgy (PM) techniques, including powder forging, powder extrusion, hot isostatic pressing (HIP), cold isostatic pressing (CIP), and equal channel angular extrusion (ECAE).
